Life...
Whoa...it's been a while since I blogged. We have been a bit busy at the Drew household. I tend to use life as an excuse a lot for not blogging.....that's a good thing!
Let's see...
-Tim turned 32--his mom and Don came over for dinner. It was a great evening of family fellowship. I want his mom to see him on every one of his birthdays because I realize how special a baby's birthday is to its mama--SO special!
-BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) started. I LOVE my group. We are studying the book of John this year.
-My Dad came to town and we went to one of Matt's baseball games. That was prescious! I love my dad a miss him a lot. I wish he lived here.....
-I got all my laundry in the house done :)
-Fall is coming. LOVE the cooler weather and the darker bedtimes!
-Emma...where do I begin with her. She is 2 months away from being 2! I am growing as a parent, she is growing as a little girl...and we are helping each other grow...along with daddy. Daddy is an amazing daddy! Yes, there are speed bumps, but nothing we can't get over. We have started marking Emma's height on a doorway in our house. FUN!
-Tim is working so much lately---I miss him!
-God is good and faithful to sustain me--as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a daughter-in-law and a sister.
Life is good--not too busy. But I must admit, I am ready for a vacation :) The beach or the mountains, either are fine.
Here are a few photos:

Talking to Papa. She <3's him! Even though he lives 5+ hours away, I am going to do all I can to maintain and foster a relationship between she and her Papa....that is something I think is SO important!

An afternoon with family
Yesterday Tim, Emma and I went down the road to Mooma's house. Cathy and Danny are in town from Florida. Cathy is Tim's mom's cousin and she and Danny are the kindest people. We have vacationed with them. One time, Tim's parents, Cathy, Danny and Tim and I all went on vacation together and it was one of the best. Yesterday we went to Mooma's house and had the most relaxing evening. I even got to see how Emma spends three of her days a week when Mooma watches her while I work. I tell you what--I can see why Emma naps so well over there. They have so much fun stuff to do! I love these pictures because unfortunately we don't get together very often with Tim's family....so these will be cherished!
Here is Emma with her Mooma (on the left) and Cathy...also known as Ti Ti by her grandbabies. This pond is right behind Mooma's house. It is full of wildlife and even a gaggle of geese!

Cathy and Emma
These horses are Mooma's next door neighbors! I have a feeling Emma is going to want a pony one day. Tim's mom always talks about getting a mule. I hope she does!

Emma and her Moo. Emma loves her Moo, I tell you what. She has been watching Emma three days a week every week since she was 3 months old (free of charge!). They are best buds.

Emma loves horses!
Emma sitting in Doodad's garden. He has an amazing garden. Emma helps him water all his plants, fill holes....and whatever else farmers do! Emma loves it! (the cat is the neighbors. they call him Elmo. Emma will pick him up by his neck and the cat just goes with it. It was the most well tempered cat I have ever met!)

Here is Doodad's garden. Emma eats from it every day she is there.
Cathy and Danny :)
This is Brutis (the neighbors dog)...he is sweet

what a great pic--don't you agree?

Emma
So I got this idea from my friend Katie while reading her update on Nathan. She listed several things Nathan loves.....and what a sweet thing to write down--to remember about your baby. So, I thought since most of my posts are picture related, I would post a little something on Emma.
Where do I begin....Emma is the sweetest, smartest most fun loving little girl I have ever met. She will be 22 months on the 12th of September. That means two more months until she is 2 years! I can not believe it. It is amazing to see how a baby develops in just two years.
Here is a short list of Emma's loves right now....in no particular order:
-reading books (the same 4 books every night--and with two of the books, she can complete the sentences when I stop reading half way through! I need to get that on video)
-her big girl bed
-her buddy (blanket)
-baby dolls
-running
-Duke and Bella
-cheese
-popsicles
-water (in the bathtub, in the pool, in a cup...she just loves to play with it)
-going outside
-swinging
-frogs and lizards
-rocks
-doing her shape sorters
-Yo Gabba Gabba
-singing "Jesus Loves me"
-dancing (with Daddy especially)
-pretend play with her baby dolls (she makes them dance and feeds them) and pushing them in their stroller
-her cousins
-helping mommy clean (putting trash in the trash can, carrying around a paper towel and cleaning things with it and loading clothes into the washing machine)
-really, helping mommy with anything
-cold pizza
-horses
Well, that is in for now....there is lots more, but this is the short list :) I tell you what, this little girl is my life. She amazes me every day and I love her so much. She will do just about anything to make Tim and I laugh--it's adorable! I love seeing the little girl she is growing into and can't wait to see what the future holds for her....the possibilities are endless, really.
God is so faithful and so good....to Him be the glory!
